² But, they said, not in the feast day, lest any uproar arise among the people.

³ When he was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, even as he sat at food, there came a woman having an alabaster jar of anointing oil called nard, which was pure and costly. And she broke the jar and poured it on his head. ⁴ And there were some who were displeased in themselves and said, Why this waste of oyntment?
